About

Centre for Robotics & Vision (CeRV)

The Centre for Robotics & Vision (CeRV) was born on March 2015 with Auckland University of Technology at Auckland New Zealand, CeRV devotes to computer vision and robotics, inherits the activities from the Environment Perception and Driver Assistance (.enpeda..) group, and initiates new research in 3D computer vision, intelligent surveillance, AR and VR, soft robots, digital image and video technology, etc. We envision the new technologies for the changing world.
The Centre for Robotics & Vision (CeRV) addresses academic activities in the fields of image and video technology, and in robotics and automation, especially with respect to integrated activities of those disciplines.
It contributes to related theoretical fundamentals at an internationally competitive level of quality, as well as to applications within New Zealand, and it is also open to national and international contacts and collaborations.
CeRV contributes to the public appearance of AUT by hosting various academic activities such as seminars or conferences. It is the “home” of a community of researchers and graduate students at AUT (and elsewhere) working in robotics and computer vision, who also welcome international research visitors to the centre.
